One Year Wiser

Happy 1st Birthday, Here to Love!

Here we are, one year on.

When I started writing this blog, little did I know how powerful the process would be. It was born from a simple truth: I’m here to love. A year into this journey, I truly feel as if I’ve invited magic into my life. I hope it’s invited magic into your life too.

Here are some thoughts and reflections of the journey so far:

  • Live your life; not somebody else’s. It sounds simple, but we can easily (and accidentally) end up living a life dictated by other people. It isn’t your “destiny” to behave as others expect you to, nor is it your responsibility to make someone else’s dream happen. Live for you. Shatter expectations if needed. Keep it real!

  • Your offering is sacred. Whatever it may be. It is enough and it is golden. Do the work to find out what it is, then share, share, share.

  • Your biggest supporters aren’t who you think they’ll be. This is a gift.

  • Everything is working out in your favour, even when it doesn’t feel like it. I know this isn’t always easy to hear. We are tested. Hold on. The best is yet to come.

  • You aren’t that big of a deal. Sorry! We are all pretty insignificant. Find comfort in this, we’re all just doing our best, with what we know. Give yourself grace.

  • Move on. Make space for the new; that’s the only way we grow.

  • Your past does not define you. The present moment is literally the only moment there is – be here!

  • Become conscious of your thoughts, how you speak to yourself, and what you invite into your life. Again, it’s easier said than done, but practicing mindfulness, forgiveness and patience towards ourselves is reflected in how we connect with the big, wide world. This practice takes discipline!

  • Don’t settle if your Heart yearns for more. Permit yourself to feel the magnetism of the Universe! Experience the tenderness, and subtlety, of gently following your intuition. Magic will appear.

  • Find a moment to “fall in love” with each day. Whether that be with your morning cup of coffee, (or tea, for me!), a touching conversation with a stranger, unexpectedly bumping into an old friend, having a laugh with a not-so-liked colleague: love is a choice, and one we can make as many times as we like, each and every day.

That’s all for now. Off to eat some birthday cake!

Big love,

Jessica xxx

P.S. If you are here, and reading this, thank you very much for making time to share the birthday wishes. <3
